Join the National anti-war Teach-In this Saturday
Key organising event as threat of new conflict grows
Dear Conter readers,
This Saturday, Stop the War Scotland will hold a national teach-in on the war in Ukraine and the growing threat of conflict across Europe and around the world.
In recent days, Nato General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg has repeatedly said that the military alliance will greatly increase its presence across Europe. Tensions continue to mount between the west and China, and the impact of the war has reached the middle east, Africa and Latin America.
That is why it is so important to build anti-war organisation and have it informed by a rigorous analysis of events.
Conter editor David Jamieson will join anti-war activists and thinkers including Vijay Prashad, Lindsey German, Tariq Ali and Isobel Lindsay to discuss a range of questions confronting the movement.
We hope to see you all there.
Speakers include:
Isobel Lindsay, Scottish SND
Lindsey German, Convenor of Stop the War Coalition
Vijay Prashad, Executive Director of the Tricontinental Institute for Social Research
Bill Ramsay, SNP CND Group
Pinar Aksu, Refugee rights campaigner
Rob Ferguson, Stop the War Coalition Steering Group
